Just from reading the name, I KNEW that this would be a good baking chocolate. The aroma of this chocolate is really rich and the flavour is deep and complex. It doesn’t taste like your typical dark chocolate. To me it has a slight smokey undertone to the decadent richness of high quality dark chocolate. It doesn’t give itself to you completely, it’s kind of mysterious. The flavours become bolder and slowly reveal near the back of your tongue. Another pro about the Private Reserve Dark Chocolate Pastilles: it’s only $17 for a 1-lb bag! Do you know how many souffles you can make with that?! Appoximately 4,658,915, give or take a couple.

Well, first of all, I didn't expect such a beautiful presentation. Choclatique.com certainly has an award-winning set of chocolates with the Epitome set. We were all highly impressed and somewhat sad once all of the chocolate had been eaten. This was my first time trying chocolates from Choclatique.com and I am happy to say that my first impression was a positive one. I look forward to trying additional chocolates from the company and will look to them whenever I need to send a box as a gift.

After taking one out of the two-pack box, I planned my strategy. Start at the top. Taking a first bite of the top layer, I was rewarded with a strawberry-and-cream filling, very much like what you’d find in a wedding cake.
